  1. Situation is.....

Authoring avi to DVD. I have encoded using TMPEng and created a .wav file using virtual dub.
In Ulead I add the audio over the top add menus etc etc all fine.
In the preview in Ulead there is audio, but when i burn it to DVD there is no audio when watching through either the computer or the DVD player. I have tried changing between PCM/MPEG on the DVD player but made no difference.
The DVD player is a pioneer DV-535 or something. Anyway its one of the ones that plays pretty much everything and has played all my authored DVD's up until now.

    What could be the problem?

  2. What are the precise video/audio attributes of your source media?

For example, when I work with my DVD disc camcorder, I get MPEG-2 files with the following video/audio properties:

    NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
    MPEG files
    24 Bits, 704 x 480, 29.97 fps
    Field Order B
    (DVD-NTSC), 4 : 3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8800 kbps)
    Audio data rate: 256 kbps
MPEG audio layer 2, 48 KHz, Stereo

How do the specific video/audio properties of your source media compare?
