Ripped with Smartripper
Used dvd2avi
Encoded with TMPGEnc 2.0 using 23.97 fps, 2-pass avr.
It was ok, but video was pretty bad. After manual IVTC, video was great, but audio was waaaay out of sync. Any sugestions. Is there something I missed. my pattern is 10110 which is what I entered.

after ivtcing in tmpgenc, you have to set under the VIDEO tab, under format or something, to 3:2 pulldown on playback. or else your video will be 23.976fps but your audio will be "designed" for 29.976fps playback.
setting this will solve sync problem. -
The thing that really has me stumped is that I am using 3:2 pulldown on playback, but that's exactly what it exhibits--there is more video information than audio--the last few minutes are silence since the audio has since ended.
Finally I got really good video that will fit on 2 cd's and the audio is out of sync. Are you supposed to enter 5 digits for the IVTC pattern or less? Also when I use the check button in IVTC, it says sync stopped after this frame. Is this normal? and what does it mean?
I've only been at TMPG for about a month and although I read the guides and have learned a lot more about it than when I started, there are quite a few times when I don't have a clue what's going on. Tried DVD2SVCD but at least with TEMPG I get usable results.
Thnks for your reply
