    All of a sudden Nero does not burn or let's say
    burns some CD-RW. I have Nero 5.5.9.9,
    with Windows XP, AMD Athlon XP +1800, 256 RAM.
    Nero goes through each step fine and even
    gives me the final message:
    "Successfully burned"....but the CD is blank
    It happened once before a while back.
    Sometimes it burns CD-RW with no problem but
    NEVER burns CDR...and I have tried changing various
    brands to exclude this possibility. It doesn't seem to
    be hardware related.
    Any suggestions?

    are you sure you arent just performing a simulation?

    no, it's not a simulation. I haven't ever changed settings.
    Plus the same data burns on CR-RW but not on CR-R
