When my file is finished it says to burn it using my software. When I open the file, there isn't VIDEO_TS folder, just all of the files. Mna, this worked great the first time. Why is it not making a folder or do I have go make one that says TITLE>VIDEO_TS ? Sheesh, I suck.![]()

Can anyone list the steps? I made a new folder and put it in there but it didn't work. DVD Shrink is making a folder with all the files in there, but not a VIDEO_TS folder, what am I doing wrong?
-
Simply make a folder using windows exployer then move all the files into that folder and then you burn that folder (VIDEO_TS).
-
OK, it's saying 4.4 gigs, is the file too big? Gotta sign off, thanks for any help. Hmmm, don't think that's it, not getting any red.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't make a stupid VIDEO_TS folder, just use a burning program (LIKE CLONE DVD), and it burns right from the ripped movie's folder name, no need to make any folders. Are you using DVD Shrink 3.0? I have that version, and it automatically makes both the VIDEO and AUDIO folders when I rip.

"He said it creates a VIDEO_TS folder when it RIPS.."
The way I understood it was that DVD Shrink creates the folders.
"Make a folder called VIDEO_TS and output to it."
Well, I kinda knew that. :P
I read the guides I make you know. -
I like it that way, ugh hu ugh hu, that's the way I liked it, ugh hu ugh hu
I like to just make a empty folder titled same as movie on the root of the drive. Then I make a VIDEO_ST and AUDIO_TS in that folder.
The just set DVDshrink to ripp to the VIDEO_TS folder!
THEN burn the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders.
I often keep more than one movie on my drives at a time, and that keeps it easy to organize them! -
Yeah ddlooping, what's wrong with what I said? Like overload said, all I do is make a folder with the name of the movie, and let DVD Shrink do the rest, that's it. Makes it's own VIDEO and AUDIO folders within the "movie" folder, preserving the DVD layout.
-
It does not
You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off. -
Thunder In Paradise,
I'll bet 5 smileys that DVD Shrink doesn't make it's own VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders.

That is the only flaw I see in the progam myself, I have to make my own folders... bah hah ah...
I'm gonna go look for an easier program that will do that for me
I actually preffer makng my own! Sometimes I have a folder already named VIDEO_TS, I would not want DVDshrink to write over that folder!
Like I author a DVD called REO. OK I got a folder called REO (name of my DVD), in that I have VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS.
OK the DVD is a little too big, so I need to shrink it! I don't want to over write my first files, and I do want to keep the files in the REO folder.
SO I just make a new folder called VIDEO_TS2 and have DVDshrink write to that! Simple enough latter to rename the first folder with a 1 and remove the 2 from the other folder. Now my shrunk files are in the correct folder and I still have my first non-shrunk files.
Tmpgenc DVD author creates the folders itself, sometimes that's nice sometimes a pain! I think it has a tick box so you can change it if you want so it won't create the extra folders, it'll just make the files in the folder you point it to.
That might be a nice thing to add to shrink sometime, though not nesaccary. -
When I used DVD Shrink it didn't make a folder so I just dragged/dropped all the files in Nero and it worked perfectly.
-
Yes, if your using a burning program that makes the folders for you, you can do that too.
Nero in DVD Video mode, drag all files into the VIDEO_TS directory it creates. Long as you got the folders and the files are in the correct folder it doesn't really matter how the folders got there -
I'm telling you guys. If I have some time tommorrow, I'll run it, and take a screenshot to prove it.
Hey Presto, I raise ya 10 smileys:
