    Dear all,

I'm trying to rip a DVD, however the following error occurs:

    UDF File System Parsing failed!

    Device:~~

Reason: Unable to find VIDEO_TS folder

Are you sure you have a DVD-Video Disc in the drive?

Note: For non DVD-Video Discs, use "ISO Read Mode"

There is however, a VIDEO_TS2 and a AUDIO_TS2 folder in the disc. How can I get DVD Decrypter to read it as a VIDEO_TS folder? I've tried copying it to HD and rename it as VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. I then created an iso from this folders but Daemon Tools Lite gave me an error "daemon tools pro driver error 1500" when I tried to create virtual drive.

    Thank you for your help.

  2. I wonder if this is some sort of new copy-protection, try DVDFab Decrypter.

it's not a dvd spec disc and wouldn't play in a standalone anyway. is it even copy protected at all? if you can copy it to the hard drive and it play then it's not protected and you don't need a decrypter.

  4. Yeah I just tried it and it shows up as a data disc on my Blu-ray player, DVDShrink should be able to open the VOB's as long as the files are compliant.

Hello all, thanks for your quick reply.

Yes the DVD can be played on a DVD player, however it doesn't play as a DVD on my computer (usually it works for most DVDs), but reads it as a data disc. Yup there is no copyright protection, but I'd like to be able to split by chapters, which DVD Decrypter could do.

FYI, if it matters, actually the disc I'm using is "part 2". The ripping of DVD part 1 went fine.

Edit: It works now. I actually just restarted the computer, then DAEMON Tools installed drivers during the start up, and is therefore working fine (no more errors). Now the DVD Decryter can read the .iso file after I renamed the VIDEO_TS2 and AUDIO_TS2 to VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS and converted them to iso.
