  1. How does one tell what resolution an avi file is? And then how do you decide whether to convert it to NTSC or to PAL?

    Thanks!

  2. If you play the file in media player and choose properties it'll tell you the resolution. As for NTSC vs PAL. NTSC is the standard in the USA, Canada and Japan. PAL is for Europe (click on the "What is" sections to the left). Although some people have multiregion TV, most don't (DVD players will normally do either) so pick the one for where you live.

  3. OK, thanks...but when I choose File->Properties, it doesnt list the resolution anywhere. Instead, it gives the file's length, bitrate, and media type.....I am using Media Player 7.0.
    thanks
