Ok, this is the first time this has ever happened to me. I put Die Another Day into my computer's DVD drive and the system recognized it after trying for awhile and then I was able to play half of the movie. All of the way through chapter 19 but when it wants to go to ch. 20, it can't read the DVD for some reason. Both Windows Media and IntervideoWin DVD had trouble from chapter 20 and on. Then I go to use DVD decryptor or Smart ripper and both tell me some files are still locked. What up with that????

It plays just fine on my other dvd players but the computer's is just giving me crap this time.....what should I do???

    Thanks.

Play the DVD while trying to unlock it. Sometimes that works.

Run Decryptor while playing it you mean? I'll try that if that's what you're suggesting.

Play the DVD Die Another Day in your computer DVD player. While 007 is "whacking bad guys", have Decryptor try to rip your movie.

Die Another Day is a really screwed up disc . I believe it comes from all the extras they put into it . The main one being that little pop-up window that tells you interesting stuff about the movie . This movie ( factory disc ) stutters and pauses during playback on my standalone player ( JVC XVS-500 BK ) like some kind of navigation error . It does this whether or not I have the pop-up feature on or off . This problem did not prevent me from ripping it to my hard drive using DVD Decrypter in file mode .
Keep it on the big cam !

I also had a that screwy "mini-pause" crap when I ripped this movie with DVD X Copy Xpress. I think I might re-burn it with DVD Shrink and see if that fixes it.

Yeah, I tried everything including Shrink and so far I think this DVD is a piece of s**t. It's really pissing me off that the ripping stops at 50 percent every time and the same goes for the playing of the movie on my system. I'm out of ideas right now but keep posting please.
