Hi all,
I'm fairly new to using DVD2SVCD... I have just come back after leaving it running for about 16 hours, doing a long a movie into 4 SVCD's with a 4-pass VBR.
Annoyingly, my PC seems to have crashed in the last few minutes of the process; I've got all the muxed mpg files, but it only got half way through creating the image for the third SVCD.
I have all the files it's created still on my drive.
Is there any way I can resume the process?
Or, can I use a different imager to finish the process off? (I've got VCDEasy, but I've never used it for SVCD).
I could just use Nero to burn the mpeg's I've got, but I'd like to utilise the chapters etc.. that DVD2SVCD has identified.
Here's the log file (you can see where it cut off at the end):
I have a feeling I would need to look at dvd2svcd chapters file.ini, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about this..WNASPI32.DLL 4.6.0.1021

You should be able to resume, go to the Misc section and choose Recover, then resume from cd image creation.
-
thanks mate - Duh!! I didn't realise it was as obvious as that!!
I thought Recover referred to the software called that - not 'exactly what it says on the tin'!!
This is one clever piece of software (DVD2SVCD) - certainly cleverer than this user it seems!!
Thanks again,
mcdruid. -
the muxed files are all you really need. you can finish manully with these. BBmux001...bbmux004 they are your films. 4 pass vbr to 4 discs?? sound excessive to me..
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.

I've got the 4 SVCD's sorted now - exactly as mh2360 said.
