I've ripped a load of my DVD collection to DVDR with DVD SHRINK Ver 3 (Beta) only to find that they don't play on the X-Box.
Any suggestions to correct this would be apreciated and also which is the best alternative software to use if the problem cannot be sorted ?

It has nothing to do with DVD Shrink.
Its the media or the burning software or burning settingsYou stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off. -
Using good media is the first step. I use Ritek media and it always works on x-box and playstation2.
I have made most of my DVD copies using DVD2One and I know they play well, but have not tried to play the DVDs that I made with shrink on my x-box or play station, so I really don't know if that is a factor.
Please list your:
1. burner
2. firmware version
3. Media used and speed rating

Why would anyone want to play a DVD on the X-Box when real DVD players can be had for as low as $40 (mintek 1600 for example). ?

I've backed up lots of movies with DVDShrink, and they al play in the XBOX just fine. It's probably the media or the way it was burned. I know that Nero has a special option just for XBOX compatibility. -
I think it's because i'm using nero express and not the full programme as this doesn't have the x-box option.

Dawn, just curious. Are you a woman? Just wondering cause we don't get too many females in these parts.

Hi all.
Dawn, here is a user-friendly Nero guide:
http://www.dvdshrink.info/nero-udf-iso.php
It was made with Nero 5 but the principle is the same if you use Nero 6.
Remember to check the "XBox" compatibility option.
