Good topic...I would like to get to know others better
-
Hi, my name is galactica.
Like TGPO im a mac user....
Unlike TGPO I dont have 4000+ posts or a galactica option on my polls.
I am a student of chiropractic and will graduate in 3 years and begin practicing in the US.
So if anyone has trememdous back pain from sitting at your desk's all day replying and posting here I am the guy you want to see!
who knows, maybe ill have a clause for my patients who say "im a dvdrhelp.com member" will get them some sort of discount on thier 1st week's therapy
well enough about me... how about you? -
Galactica,
In 3 years immigration to the US, Earth, may be closed. Then what do you do?
I guess you plan to come here because on your planet the muscular-skeletal whatever is not conducive to earning a decent living? Maybe a carapace, so no subluxations?
Cheers,
George -
Yep, native martians are nothing but carapace. I tried to adjust, but just punched straight though one. So my malpractice sky rocketed and im now looking for a new set of patients.
My location is mearly reflective of a on going joke that my name seems to be "space related" so someone suggested i have a "space" location. So i picked mars, my favorite planet of them all. Obviously we all know that inorder to actually post on this forum you must be somewhere on this planet we call EARTH!
In all reality, you are right! With the way things are going, immigration to the US could be stopped at any moment! As such, I guess i'm stuck with those already in US, but hey, that is a heck of a lot of subluxations!
ps. nice use of words, are you in a related field? or just have a nice vocab? -

I was born in Delhi, India and moved to the states a LONG time ago. Now I live in Indiana(US) and am in my first year of college aspiring to be a doctor someday. Like Galactica, I'll be offering discounts to dvdrhelp members -
that will be the day!!! - discounted MD services!!!
Or are you not thinking of going the MD route? -

ok ok. Well I am originally from Montana and plan to move back after college.
Small world Galactica, I am in Colorado too. Grand Junction to be specific. Another interesting thing, my sister in law is in Denver right now and she actually works for a Chriopractor. However since we are family the doc said he would do it for free, so your offer isnt good here...........hmmmm maybe when you are done with school I can hook you up with a job...heheh.
Other then that I am a business management major and I have a couple of franchise restruants waiting for me when I get back to Montana. If anyone has a chance to go to Montana.....I would suggest it. So pretty up there.

Hey tgpo,
Small world, where in SC? Aiken? I grew up in North Augusta. Spent my first college year at USCA, then went on to main campus in Columbia. It's been many years, probably more than you've been alive, but I remember one college algebra teacher (actually, can't remember his name) and I doubt he's still there. He always wore the same baby blue colored shirts summer and winter. I think he actually bought long sleeve shirts and cut them off to short sleeve length for the summer. Then in the winter he would be wearing a long sleeve baby blue shirt; if you looked close you could see the seam where the cut off sleeve portion had been sewn back onto the short sleeve. Now, that's frugal.
Sorry this is off topic, but, oh yeah, this is the off topic forum -
Galactica,
A little tardy, but thanks.
No, not in a related field. Simply read a lot of everything. Pet peeve is people who will not speak or write properly.
Slang and argot and patois are all well and good, but there is no reason to use poor English after 12 to 16 years in the education system.
I do wish some of the posters would do a short proofread, correct some of their spelling mistakes. Mistakes in grammar can sometimes be a matter of where one has been raised.
Some of our foreign members write in a better manner than some of our "natives". And, as I've said before, they do, but need not, apologise for their unfamiliarity with the language.
Most of you youngsters probably type very well, and very quickly. Some seem to type so fast that they mishit the keys and refuse to backspace and correct.
I type with 3 fingers max, and usually have to edit my posts, as the glaring errors only seem to be visible in forum text, not my message text.
It's also why 6 posts will appear between my post and whatever I was typing a rebuttal to.
I'm in SW PA (Pennsylvania, for our foreign friends ), near Pittsburgh, work in a steel mill as a Journeyman, repairing overhead cranes.
Spend my off time building/repairing computers for the kids and grandkids, woodworking, doing other home repairs for the kids ( installing a new heating system for the oldest daughter right now ), and visiting here. A few other sites, also, but here more than there.
Of the thousands of threads, maybe 6 have irrigated me. ( Not a misspelling)
Hope to spend a lot more time here in years to come.
Cheers,
George -
