Hi to all!
I tried to add a 3rd audio track to a dual-language DVD (PAL)
What i have done:
1.) I splitted the existing *.vob to 3 files: video.m2v audio1.ac3, audio2.ac3 -
so far so good
2.) The track i wanted to add i had received in the form 44.1k/mp2:
... therefore i converted it to .wav (with WinAmp)
... and then i converted the sample rate to 48kHz with CoolEdit (at this point it was also very easy to get it in sync)
3.) I transcoded the resulting 48kHz.wav with BeSweet to ac3
4.) I multiplexed the video.m2v + 3audios.ac3 with IfoEdit and burned the result to a DVD-R
The problem:
Watching the DVD with WinDVD on my notebook everything looks fine...
On a 'standalone' (JVC) the 2 original tracks are ok - but switching to the one i added causes the player to:
1.) speed up about 10 percent - dropping a lot of frames (!)
2.) speed up the sound and
3.) (due to overflow in audio decoder?) produce short audio-gaps
Might there be time-code information inside the ac3?
If 'Yes' does it have to correspond with with te video-framerate?
Is there a difference between ac3s for NTSC and PAL?
Many thank's for Your ideas - i got stuck here![]()
!!!!!!! PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!! THANKS A LOT !!!!!!!!!!!!
