  1. Okay my problem is this. I extract a certain episode off the DVD. I usually re-encode it to make a quick encode. So I can subtitle the individual episode. Sometimes for whatever reason the audio is out of sync. So if that happens. I just use MKVtoolnix to merge the .m2v file and the .ac3 track all together to make a mkv (I extract the .m2v and .ac3 using pgcdemux). And I use that to sync subtitles to the episode from another source. But now for whatever rare reason, I get an error from MKVMerge saying this:

"This AC3 track contains 227 bytes of non-AC3 data which were skipped. The audio/video synchronization may have been lost."

What exactly is non-AC3 data? And how do I make it so the audio and video syncs correctly? I tried ripping the audio using different programs such as Reijig since it has a ac3 audio correction. But it didn't correct any delay. And the samething happen. The audio is out of sync. So whatever reason, I can't sync the audio to the video no matter what I do in this instance.

Anyone know the problem? And how do I correct it? Because I can't sync subtitles to something that isn't syncd right.

    Try run it through ac3fixgui.

Gui of that program didn't work. But then I just used the exe file and got this:
    D:\Apps\Audio editing tools\AC3fixGUI\ac3fixgui>ac3fix AudioFile_80.ac3 AudioFilefix
Starting. Input file is AudioFile_80.ac3, output file is AudioFilefix
    Frame length is 1792
Checking frame 3396: Wrong frame length, expected 6082048, got 1792
    Writing frame
    Current wrongness is -227 bytes
    Checking frame 46232: OK
Finished. Found bad frames. Final wrongness is -227 bytes

Apparently it fixed it. But when I put it through mkvmerge. The resulting file still has the audio out of sync(The Mkvmerge error did go away, though). There is some stuff, I still need to try though. I'll let you know how it goes.

update: I had to edit the audio file to actually make it sync'd up. I can't remember what exactly I did. But I used a program like goldwave , and I either inserted audio silence or deleted a little bit of audio to sync it up.
