  1. I am trying to backup the Family Guy. i could only fit episodes 1-5 on to one DVD. Now i want to put eps. 6-7 on a DVD along with episodes 1-3 of the second season. DVD-LAB seems to be the best at doing this but i can't figure it. The website only has a tutorial for version 1.1 which doesn't have the VOB joining section. Can anyone help?

if you are looking to do it simply then rip each episode as separate titles using DVDShrink in reauthor mode and this will give you the separate VOB's for each episode

drop each of the episode VOB's into DVDLab and then create a menu to link to each episode. It's as easy as that and only get's more complicated the more fancy you want to make it

like Foo said, a little more info would help so we can specifically tell you what to do to reach your goal as I'm just guessing here

  4. I used DVD shrink to rip each episode and i am now trying to combine the episodes. In DVD lab i have been dropping the vobs into movie assets and the box with the 3 choices comes up. I have been choosing the join option but all it does is create the vob in a different directory and calls it joined. I don't know how to actually get the VOB files to Join together.

are the episode less than 1GB each?

if they are you just drop each episode as it is (no Demultiplexing). I didn't get a join option.Drop each episode's VOB into it's own movie and then link to it via the your menu so you should end up with 5 movies, one with each episode

if each episode is bigger than 1Gb then just join the VOB's before using DVDLab unless there is a seamless feature within DVDLab obviously , I don't know if there is as the Friends episodes were less than 1Gb so I didn't have this issue
