    Hi,

Can anyone help me with removing Divx completly from my system including all the reg data? Thanks.

The reason I am asking is I installed Divx 5.1, and decided to change back to 5.02, when I did the registration thing keeps messing up so I want to make sure all the reg data is removed.

  2. Yes, I got the same problem, now my TMPGEnc only encodes VCDs properly. When encoding SVCD I get no audio at all.... sorry I'm not helping, but the first one to get an answer here helps the other, ok?

Yeah definitely. I also have the same problem with no audio for my SVCD's in TMPGEnc, so we have a common problem.

I hope someone can help us out.

  4. Got it. Here's how it goes, it worked for me:

    1. I removed my damned 5.1 Bundle but it didn't work. The same for you right? Forget it.

    2. Never install a bundle or a package again. Install each codec alone as you need them. This advice came from the moderator of this site, who obviously knows things!

    3. When encoding with TMPGEnc do not use the audio from the file you opened. First use VirtualDub (I prefer) to separate video and audio tracks (turning it into a wav file) and convert the original video but change the audio to the wav instead. The file will end up with audio. That's it!

    4. For some reason, even after uninstalling the damned 5.1 Bundle, WMP and Winamp (and even TMPGEnc) display the video with VERY stretched aspect ratio. Well... that's a lie they are telling us. The real file is encoded properly. Use WinDVD or better, PowerDVD, to watch videos from now on, you will see that they are actually ok. I even BURNED a SVCD to play on my standalone DVD player to double-check it and - YES, it was alright!

So, there you go. Unless you really wanna use Wiindows Media Player or Winamp to watch videos, instead of PowerDVD, the problem is solved for you. Otherwise, I guess you're gonna have to reinstall your machine from the start. I didn't. If I find out anything about how to restore WMP and Winamp aspect ratio I'll let you know. Please do the same, ok?

    Cheers.

Great thanks. I'll give that a try.

  6. This is strange... after I installed PowerDVD, aspect ratio on WMP is back! Winamp still does not work, it does not show video... but, what the hell. Again, if you know how to restore it please let me know. Installing PowerDVD might fix your WMP.

    We're on our way!
