I've tried this on several versions of XP including build 2600, as well as a few different computers. get into the latest version of bbmpeg, click start encoding, settings, input output tab, open VS, open AS, or PS or any of the file functions -- it crashes. Doesnt work in the compatibilty modes either, reboot to windows 2000 -- it works fine.
This is really irritating. . .
anyone having the same problem?

Easy work-around.
Open BBMPeg, then click the Load button (upper left button).
When the dialog comes up - just shut it.
You can now use BBMpeg under XP with no problem.
Windows changed something in dialog behavior that catches a couple of programs - I've run into one or two other programs that act exactly the same under XP.
