    Can someone point me way to find out how to use VirtualDub. I downloaded the latest version but don't have a clue how to set it up to convert DV to a smaller format, if possible to VCD.

    check out the guides on this site (HOW TO) - that's how I figured it out- there really is no alternative but to read through and experiment. print out the guides though so you have a reference to hand - then you can add your own notes to help you as well.
