Hey, I'm just starting to get into Backing Up DVDs. I've tried DVD X Copy Xpress, and that worked great, but I dont like that it puts information like your IP address and stuff on the burned DVD.

Is there a program out there that is almost as easy to use as DVD X Copy Xpress? I dont need stuff on the disc like extras, just the main movie will do. And the program can be freeware or payware, doesnt matter to me, if its worth it ill buy it. Or is there a way to keep DVD X Copy from recording my personal information? I'm pretty much looking for one program that does it all.
    Thanks

    I'll post specs:
    P4 2.66ghz
    Pioneer DVR-104
    HD around 100gig free 7200rpm
    512mb DDR Ram

    Standalone player for the moment:
Playstation 2 (Yes, it read the DVD-R(s) i backed up)

    Software:
DVD X Copy Xpress (Trial): Tried and worked
Veritas Recordnow DX version 4.11 (wont update for some reason, starts not responding): Havent Tried
    Nero version 5.5.9.14: Havent Tried

Try clone dvd I use it and I prefer it over dvd xpress it comes with everything you need to do a perfect dvd backup copy with menus and all I use it and I cant tell the difference between the original and the back up Also you can just copy the movie or the full dvd with out any problems or annoying messages :P :P

Try DVD Shrink - it's freeware, and will allow you to delete extras and compress the main movie to fit a dvdr, if needed.

by the way, statements like this:

make it seem like you are into piracy, not backing up your own discs. that would be a violation of forum policies, which you must be aware of, otherwise you wouldn't have put the quotation marks around "backing up".

I would suggest you watch your words carefully if you want to keep getting assistance from these forums.

Being a complete neophyte to this whole DVD burning thing I wanted something really easy to use too. I chose DVDShrink to rip and CloneDVD to burn. I'm using the trial version of CloneDVD right now, but as soon as my 30 days are up Elaborate Bytes is getting my money.
