I got a huge problem trying a very simpel task:
I want to convert uncompressed DV movie in 16:9 to a flash-file in 16:9.

I tried a lot of software but I get sqeezed 4:3 every time - it seems like flash is not happy for the 16:9? How do I keep the aspect ratio in 16:9 in my flash movie?? It drives me qrazy and I really hope someone can help out there

    Tecnical:
Movie edited in Premiere Pro CS3 and exported as Microsoft DV AVI (D1/DV PAL 16:9 (1.422) 720 x 576). 25 fps.

I cannot export in any other format, due to major codexs complications that I have yet to solve. If I try movie and sound are out of sync.

Add black bars to the top and bottom of your 16:9 video to make it 4:3.

Thanks, but you are missing the point. The point is to keep the 16:9. I dont want to comprimize - I want my movie to be in 16:9 not 4:3.

  4. you need to encode the flv to 1024x576 or similar to keep it 16x9 as you are going from a non-square to square pixel format.
