  1. Hy,
I’m new here and glad to join your forum.
I have a question concerning my standalone DVD Player (Philips 634), which I bought a few days ago and hope you guys can help me out.

I’ve tried to play a SVCD movie of a friend of mine with the DVD player but unfortunately I get the following message:

    DISC LOADING

    MP3 – JPEG

    FIND: 0

    INVALID ENTRY

I'm am a beginner in DVD stuff
    I've never burned an SVCD because i don't have a cd-burner.

The CD implies the following directories:

    EXT
    MPEG2
    SVCD

The main movie file (MPEG file, about 720 MB big) is in the MPEG2 directory.
The movie is burned on a 90min (800MB) CD.
I have no problems playing the SVCD movie on the computer with PowerDVD by running the mpeg file from the MPEG2 directory.

    Am I doing something wrong?
Do I have to change DVD settings?
I hope you have some suggestions for me.
    Thanx

    Regards

    Nikolai

p.s. I’m not sure if this is the right forum, so I’m sorry if not.
