I recently downloaded besweetgui and besweet to convert some audio files. program works great. Then I downloaded gspot after reading about it. AFter doing so I opened it up and got the message,
Warning: DirectShow crashed while GSpot was attempting to obtain information about a codec.
This is usually due to damaged, misconfigured, conflicting, or poorly written codec drivers. It is possible, perhaps even likely, that other media players will crash when they attempt to play this file as well, as most of them will also use DirectShow. GSpot was able to intercept the crash, and has attempted to identify the codec or filter involved; uninstalling or reinstalling this codec or filter may solve the problem.
The codec was tentatively identified as:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\lameACM.acm
msacm.lameacm
The program posted the message " to avoid further crashes a collection of system codec information and rendering of files has been temporarily set to disable."
I believe the lameacm.acm was brought in by the besweet or besweetgui. program. I know the program besweet works fine so the drivers for that are ok, but none the less I dont know what I should do since I would like to keep both programs.
Any ideas as to how to handle this?
