    Nevermind.

    I was having issues with my TBC-1000 using the composite, but switching to an all-s-video connection fixed it.

    Wierd how that works. Last time I had issues, switching AWAY from s-video made the overly bright image go back to normal.

    I used Stinky's tool, which I believe is different from DisableATIMacrovisionDetection.zip, but it is ineffective on the new MMC 8.x series.

    Last time I looked , all Stinky's did was diddle the ATI registry entries.

    I wish I could find something to disable the ATI AGC settings and
    set it to fixed gain

    And I have the hack for MV detection and It works on MMC8.5
