  1. Hey everyone, I just got a small problem. I have some movies that are in avi format. I extract the audio using virtual dub and then encode in TMPGEnc. Everything goes to plan. Everything looks fine on the MPEG2 video that is created. (I used the tutorial on how to use the TMPGEnc for making a dvd)

Then when I burn after making dvd template and stuff using MF2.......my video will play fine for a bit......then freeze for a second or two and then catch back up. Audio continues fine the whole time.

I have checked the video for errors using Virtualdub but am still at a loss.

Excuse my ignorance if this has been answered a thousand times. I have searched the forums high and low and have found similar posts......however no one has come up with an answer that I can see.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..........THANKS.

  2. UPDATE:

I played the disk on my roommates standalone player..........It played just fine through the selection menu and then through the first part of the opening credits........then it seemed to skip frame by frame.....even the audio was cutting in and out.

I fast forwarded it a bit and watched an action scene.........everything seemed to play fine. Didnt hang up like it did on the computer.

Anyone have any experience with this type of stuff? I would really like to get this straightened out.

    Thanks again.
