Hi all, newbie here.
Firstly, I am in the UK so am using the 50hz PAL system.
I am trying to capture from some old VHS tapes and create DVD's of them using my Leadtek Winfast A350TDH graphics card (MyVIVI edition) which has video capture capability. I am using Ulead Moviefactory2 SE that came with the card.
My original problem was fast moving images flickering badlywhen played back on a standalone DVD player. Thanks to the help in these forums, I think I've sorted this one out. It was down to the software defaulting to progressive scan output. Having set it to "Field order B" the video seems much smoother.
My problem now is that bright scenes are flickering quite badly. If I capture the video through my DV camcorder onto DV tape, then do a DV capture onto the PC and then to DVD, the flickering is not there and everything is fine. iIn both cases I am capturing directly to MPEG2.
Any help / ideas / suggestions gratefully accepted.
