    I recently bought a Pioneer 106d burner, being new to this DVD backup
    business, and having read numerous posts, I successfully decrypted and shrunk first DVD backup, but when it came to burning the final output
    I used Nero6 Ultra, it happily got right to 100% before coming up with a failure to complete error 'unable to close disc at once'.

    Any ideas?

    How many times has it done this? And what disc are you using?

    It has done this the first two times I attempted it ! Im using Datawrite Yellow Top 4x DVD-R and also using the latest updates from Nero site.

    Don't know those disc personally but I think you should be fine. To find out if its nero download the recordnow max demo and try with it to see if the problem goes away.
