As far as i am aware it is a freeware version of the app with the same name apart from the 'X' in the middle.

I havnt had a chance to use it yet, but i have downloaded it.

Some of the screenshots that i have seen make it look like one of the 2 button applications that you get.
    Copy and Burn.

I downloaded it and installed it. I played around with it a little bit, but haven't used it to burn anything yet. One thing I can tell you, it will not compress your files so that an entire movie will fit on one disc. If the movie is more than what will fit on one disc, you make two discs. More like DVDXCOPY than DVDXCOPYXPRESS. Only requiring more manual intervention.
Many of the instructions are obviously written by an English-is-my-second(or greater)-language writer, but they're not as bad as some software I've seen.

  4. User comments ( all of them) on another board I cant mention the name of suggest that it either doesnt work at all or only encodes a couple of hundred frames then quits.

Now that you mention it, I did try to see if it could read one of DVD movies and copy it to my hard drive. When I selected the files, it supposedly encoded them all in about 1 second. I thought that was juussstt a bit fast. But I wasn't paying close attention, so I thought I might be doing something wrong. I guess probably not.

It installs a very nasty spyware program - uninstall the copying package, and make sure you delete the folder "NavExcel" in your Program Files directory afterwards...

There was an earlier thread started on this same software: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=174711&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
I hypothesized that since the website said they were incorporated, I wonder how they mad any money giving away software. I said maybe it's spyware.
Another member posted after that that he had downloaded and installed it and there were no trojans, viruses or spyware.
I installed it believing that post. Now I'll have to go home and run Adaware and check for spyware.

It only appears to be picked up by the latest build of Ad-Aware (181), because I had the earlier version and that wouldn't find it. Oh, and Ebenton? It was your comment about possible spyware in the other thread that made me take a closer look, so thanks!

    You're welcome Wolfman,
It was just idle speculation at the time, but I guess you never know.
I sent an email off to Baldrick telling him about the spyware in this tool, and suggested that if it's true, he should get it removed from the Tools list.

Not to mention that it doesn't work worth a damn.
