  2. bad media or good media and a bad burn. The first is probably true.

If you have an RW burn it on there and it should be fine. RW's tend to be more stable "overall" then R media.

  3. Using Datawrite DVD-R must admit was cheap at £19 for 25

I will get some decent discs and try again

  4. If it's a movie only rip from a DVD-9 that just happens to fit on a DVD-R, you did remember to correct the VTS Vectors, didn't you ?

Chapter 13 is probably about half way through the movie and it makes me wonder if it's confused around about the point of where the layer change would have been.

  6. @Gary, I don't think it has anything to do with VTS SECTORS. Most of the time if you forget to get VTS Sectors your burn program won't even write the disk. Nero will write the disk "OF COURSE"....but it won't get recognized in the standalone player in most cases.

Being that they are using cheap media..which I figured....that's most likely their problem. Not to mention they are unsure of what VTS SECTORS is and if they were using IFOEdit...I'd think they'd know that.

@jayosw, what did you do to burn this disks? Just rip the original to the HD and burn?

Did you try an RW disk?

  7. Im having a similar problem, my copies (only recently) have started jumping, skipping, pausing & stopping half way through (about where the layer change would occur)
If you have any luck with your problem or obtain any good advice, could you please let me know.
