Getting sick and tired of Ulead Movie Factory

When i load a mpge2 file (23.976 fps with 3:2 pulldown) in Ulead Movie Factory, and select NTSC-DVD the program starts multiplexing the audio and video streams, after the the VOB files has to be built, but then.....
Every time the program gives me sh&*#t , frame rate exeeds number of frames pops up on my screen, when doing PAL (25fps) or NTSC (29,97fps) everything works fine, what the hell is woring with this program. Tmpgenc DVD-Author does it without problems, only the menu options are very limited in this program. Maybe someone can help me out here, or shall i go for DVD-Lab ?

Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 does not support the 23.976 fps rate of your SOURCE material.

In the case of NTSC, the official specification supported by Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 is 29.97.

The frame rate of your SOURCE material does not comply with DVD standards.

On the other hand, I understand Ulead has a new zip file available for individuals to try for 3:2 pulldown material.

Please download the zip file and unzip it to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\DVD directory

Anyway back to your problem, i had the same problem as you when i using Ulead Movie Factory 2 and i was Authoring 3.2 pulldown NTSC Mpegs.

I found that the only way to cure the problem was not to use Movie factory at all.

Instead i started using DVD Maestro and although it's more advanced and you have to create your own menus it works all the time.

I would suggest you do use DVDLAB, it's more advanced than movie factory will ever be and has it's own menu creating software.

Marvel2020, thanx for your help also, i will look into DVD Maestro also, beacuse most of the movies i want to smash on DVD are having the filmformat.

Related to Michael Myers?, you bet, actually i'm his twin-brother who is very pissed of that he is not invited to the Clash of the Titans between Freddy and Jason, so i think i'm gonna pay a visit to Chrystal Lake and Elm Street to leave my signature there, but first i'm off to Smiths Grove to get a Pyama.
