Did you burn the bin and cue to the disc as files? (that's the wrong way)
You have to "Burn Image". This will use the .cue file as a guide and refer to the .bin file for the data. -
within Nero i did the burn image setting, with VCDEasy i used the burn bin/cue feature, and they seemed to burn correctly.
Also just tried using ISOBuster to pull out the mpegs from the cds, and it worked. I was able to view the mpegs.
Is it something to do with my DVD-ROM, coz i know it can play vcds, but unsure about svcds? -
Have you opened the cue with notepad? Do so and check that it is correct.
Also check your dvd player to see if it does play svcds, but if you're able to play 6 minutes, you must be able to.
You might have to pull the mpegs out with iso buster and then get VCDEasy to build a new bin and cue. Then try burning with vcdeasy. -
bin/cue files can be confusing and tricky to work with especially if the cue settings are wrong. I've had lots of problems with them.
Now I only download the bin file and not the cue. And since I know that the bin file contains the actual movie file, but is only created as image, I use a tool called VCDImager and within minutes I load the bin file and It produces the mpeg file for me. Which Later I burn using Nero as VCD/SVCD. It works the best and you don't have to worry about anything. Plus the software is free you can get it off the internet. -

Why don't you check the file by extracting the mpg out using ISO Buster.

I watched the film on my comp before, using Daemon Tools, no extracting of the files, just loading up the cue files and played like svcds using PowerDVD.
Now decided to burn these bin/cue files to cd, both Nero and VCDEasy say they burnt fine, look at the contents of the cd and everything seemed in order. When it came to playing the cd using PowerDVD, it loaded correctly, but the prog thought the film was only roughly 6 mins long.
@hardcoreruss:
I did that already with the burnt cds and that worked fine.
I just tested it again with WinDVD tyo check whether it was software problem but no, exactly same problem occurs
