    what is the best codec to use to compress a very very short video clip down, its only 6.4mb uncompressed. i am not that bothered about the qaulity, i just want a codec that can reduce the video in size, a lot.

    I guess xVid or DivX would be best, but I expect you had thought of that

    i have tried DivX, with good results, i think i got it down to 20kb but the quality goes bad, divx can take it to 100kb with good quality.

    i never thought of xvid though, i'll give it a try.
