I am trying to burn a 697MB MPG to VCD using Nero Vision Express. I like the menu/chapter options this program offers. However, everytime I add my video file, Nero reports a file size of 770MB! I encoded using TMPGEnc w/a bitrate of 875 to reduce the file size and MP2 audio. I am able to burn my VCD using regular Nero/Nero Express to burn an image i created with VCDEasy, but of course it doesn't offer the same menu/chapter options. So, I know the actual file size is accurate. I just don't know why Nero Vision Express reports it as bigger.

    Thanks in advance..... eMARTY69

i'm having the exact same problem. i've e-mailed Nero's tech helpline. they asked me to run a diagnostic tool found on doom9 and attact the results to my question. i've done that and i'm awaiting their response. their first reply took about 10 days. i'll post their response when i get it.

What kind of diagnostic did you run? I'll say this much about Nero tech support. They have always responded to MY questions. Hopefully won't take as long as ten days.... Let me know your results. Thanks!

I'm trying to create svcd's with menus and chapters but still have the problem mentioned above. i just got a response from Nero tech help. they said Nero Vision does not support overburn and i shoul use Burning Rom! i wrote again, explaining i'm not trying to overburn anything. i told them Vision does not correctly calculate the file size taking into account i want to burn in mode 2. suggested they fix it so Vision will allow you to create a disc image on the hard drive even if it thinks file size is too large. awaiting their response...again. will post it when received.
