  1. Hi all,

    Your advice please!

I'm always trying to join SVCD files into one large SVCD, then I convert to a DVD compliant format using TMPGEnc so that I can burn a DVD and watch on my aging Sony DVD player.

Trouble is joining these files is hit and miss, Boilsoft join AVI etc raely works, TMPGEnc sometimes works, so far DVTools seems the best way?. But I get errors when decoding using TMGEnc.

Example many SVCD's are usually split on several CD's so to fit on one DVD is usually do the following:

    (1) Extract mpegs from due files and fix errors using VGear.
    (2) Join using DVTools.
    (3) Encode using TMPGEnc to DVD compliant format.
    (4) Generate VOB files using DVD Maestro.
    (5) Burn using Nero onto a DVD.

In the past I have manged to use the SVCD workaround so do I really need to convert to DVD format or can burn as a big SVCD ??. If I do need to convert to DVD compliant is there a better way to
    (1) Join the SVCD files and
    (2) Convert using something other than TMPGEnc

    Thanks

Sorry to be so long winded!

@odyseus: I was not aware that Reloaded was released yet. If I'm correct, I suggest you remove the reference to it, as it's in violation of forum rules to even mention bootleg movies. If I'm wrong I apologize.
