I have been trying to use CCE was standalone for MPEG2 encoding, without DVD2SVCD which crashes on my PC with alarming frequency. What program do I use to frameserve the ripped DVD VOBs? I would like to process video and audio separately if possible. The audio I will use tooLame to process. It’s the damn video I cannot seem to do. I have used DVD2AVI to frameserve for TMPGEnc encoding. I think CCE only loads .avs and .dv files. A quick link to the framserver would be nice too. Maybe a guide. Thanks.

You could open the D2V from DVD2AVI in either
Vdub or Avisynth and frameserve that to CCE.
You have to get the Vdub version that reads Mpeg2
You have to load a plugin to read mpg2 in avs
Update: Sorry looks like Vdub won't open D2V -
Try VFAPI Reader to make a "fake" avi file from the d2v file that you made in DVD2AVI. It's super easy to use. AVISynth is a little faster, but harder to learn.
you can get it here:
