I'm using the source range feature in TMPGEnc to split & encode simultaneously a downloaded DivX AVI into MPEG2 format for SVCD. Whilst that is working perfectly, the motion on the second disc becomes jerky - not so bad that it can't be watched - but it is definitely jerky compared to the first, which is perfect in every respect.

This has happened a number of times now and I'm wondering if anyone here knows of this problem or if it's a well known issue with TMPGEnc.

Anyone know of another way around this which will make both discs play perfectly instead of just the first one?

    Thanks,

its more likely a problem with the file. the source range should not have done this. scan the file for corrupt frames first.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

Which tool would you recommend to be the best for scanning for corrupt frames? I know of only DivFix myself but I assume there is something better?

BTW - I may have misled when I said the second disc *becomes* jerky. What I meant to say is that the second disc is jerky. It is jerky right from the very beginning as soon as you press play. It's not as though it just becomes jerky when a bad frame is encountered or something, it is jerky straight away, whilst the first disc plays perfectly throughout.
