  2. Need more details.

Is it a constant out-of-sync? or does the sync get worse as the movie progresses?

    Assuming it's a constant out-of-sync:

The audio is probably a format that is not supported by TMPG. VDub already converted it to a .wav - will it convert it to a mpeg? (I don't use VDub much) If so, try using VDUB's output directly.

Either way, TMPG's source range setting in the advanced tab has a audio delay function. Regretably, it more of a trial and error manual thing, but it should fix syncing problems.

  4. I know nothing about main concept. Can't help you there.

But TMPG should fix the sound delay.

After bringing up TMPG, click on settings, then click the Advanced tab, then double-click source range. Audio Gap Correct adjusts the sync. It can be either negative, or positive values.

The video not running smoothly can be caused by many problems - wrong frame rate, for one. Make sure your PC isn't doing anything else when you view the movies, or the PC may make it look like its not smooth.
