  1. I have 8 avi files that i'm trying to author in ulead mf2 but the total file size of all the videos is 5.0gb is there anything that can be done to compress the files just a bit to fit them on one dvd-r. I thought about cutting off extra bits that i didn't need but there still to big, would something like dvd2one help or am i jusy out of luck.

  2. I would author the DVD as is, then run the output files through DVD2one (about $40) or ShrinkDVD (Free) to compress to fit on a single DVD

  3. hi jonez, I've never tried to use dmf for converting avi into mpg, don't know how much freedom you have in managing bitrate.
    I suggest you to use a specific encoder (like tmpgenc) and play with bitrate until you find the one that fit your needs.
    it's bitrate that fits the disks, not how long the movies last.
