Do Toshiba DVD players have the Pioneer Playback problem??

Not sure really where to put this, so here goes.. When authoring dvd's with (S)vcdtodvd produved svcd files with TMPGENC DVD Author, my toshiba sd 2800 dvd player splits or duplicates the video on the screen.. so for 2/3 (horizontally) of the screen I get the video then on the remaining 1/3 of the screen, the video repeats itself.. it does this no matter if I patch to 720 or 352 or if I repatch the vob files to 480. Any ideas? If I play the same dvd in my ps2, there is no problems, the video takes up the whole screen (it is a bit jaggy.. but not too bad) .. same with playing the dvd on the pc with power dvd.. no problems there either. Hey Jim,

I checked the player list for you it seems your player has some troubles with svcds. But you could try the pioneer trick maybe it works.
