Hey,
I recently found out that my new dvd The LG DC595NWQ is not playing SVCD. I searched for some hacks and i found about that hack...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SVCD Hack for LG 595NWQ
1 - Power up the dvd with no disc
2 - Press Pause and then press 1,4,7,2
3 - Press up arrow 6 times, the characters 07 00
should appear on the display, and on the TV
4 - Press: Program key, 6, Program key, 5
(the characters 07 FE should now be displayed).
5 - Press Enter
6 - Press Return
7 - Power off and power on the player
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I tried that hack by playing some 2 disc svcd... the first disc didn't even play it said "Disc Error", and the first disc played but you couldn't understand any of the sound or see the picture clearly it got stuck it had green square's on it, in other words didn't work good at all.
then i read in some forum that you first have to do the vcd Hack....
but my vcd are playing good... i dont know what to do....
please help!!!
o and can you somhow undo the svcd hack? or any hack?

if you want to undo the hack,just re-enter the info the way you did already,but change the "FE" back to whatever it was,in this case,"00".
but i think your svcds werent donr properly to begin with.i fond that they have to be compliant svcds,and nero for me works best this way.
what you have there seems to me to be an svcd with the vcd header trick involved..
