  1. Ive been backing up dvd's for a while with for a while with no problems at all. However, while trying to backp disc 2 of the new led zeppelin dvd set, i encountered a problem with both Instant copy 7 as well as DVD2one.

Both programs will not size it down to below 4.32gb

IC7 wont even attempt to transcode it because when it starts the process it brings you back to the resize screen a second time with a total size over 4.32gb. What is wierder is that I have the registry hack to allow for burns above 4.32gb.

So i tried DVD2one. After alll the processing I was left with a 4.50 gb folder. I have never seen this stuff happen before especially with 2 different programs.

    Please Help

TRY DROPPING the least desirable to you of the 3 full soundtracks

The reason its too big is there's too much sound!
Once you make the decision to drop .Ac3 or .DTS you're there

Dont drop the PCM it sounds great

by the way I hadda go the freeware way as all the programs I bought (all both of 'em)
couldn't deal the way SHRINK drops the audio easily!

Is this happening with the full disk back-up mode or just the main movie back-up mode?

  4. Actually i forgot to mention that I already dropped the DTS soundtrack and it still wouln't work. And this was in full-disk mode with DVD2one.

  5. I have just backed up Led Zep discs with Shrink with no problems in full disk & re-author mode.
I dropped DTS soundtrack on both discs.
I think I transcoded full discs at level 9-10,good quality
Would agree that the PCM sound is excellent

bignjhammer, this could be your chance to use SHRINK

actually, I later did it agian using DVD FAB to split to two DISCS each LED ZEP DISC, this way the quality was higher...
Still hadd shrink the movie "half:"
I split to EXTRAS & MOVIE so the extras were just 2GIG DISCS
