For example...I have a 22 minute avi I'm converting to mpg-2/svcd for burning purposes. No VBR, so I just frameserve off of vdub for the video and use the source as my audio. Set up tmpgenc to run, and extrapolating from the percentage done, and the size of the output file so far, it looks like I'm going to have about a 2 gig file...I've had this happen before, seemingly randomly, and I know that what's going to happen. Tmpgenc is going to encode all this blank video after the source is finished, making the final mpg like an hour and a half long, but with the first 23 minutes being fine. What's going on here?
