  1. K..I know smart ripper is a good way to start to rip, but I really like the DVDDecryptor and I like to ask after I get my Iso, is there a guide out there I can use to conver the iso to SVCD? What about the vobs I can get with Decrypter, is it a better to start with the Vobs?

  2. Only get the ISO if you are going to burn a DVD. Grab the VOBs for making an SVCD
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

    You can try dvd2svcd which is a very good program and not to complicating also if you know alittle about TMPGEnc you can use dvd2avi and then run through TMPGEnc and burn with your favorite CD burning software. [Note: plenty of guides for this on the left just click guides and follow one] you may also check www.doom.org alot of guides there also

    great guide....written for DVD->VCD...however, can be easily adapted to SVCD...basically everything's the same except you would need to use a SVCD template to encode with in tmpgenc (or at least make the right settings for SVCD, rather than VCD)
