I couldnt find the exact thread for my problem, so here goes, sorry mods. I have been using dvd decrypter for several years without a hic up and its a great program, my problem as of late is i can not use it anymore to burn my movies, i first put the original movie thru dvd shrink and then proceed to burn with dvd decrypter, but it has stopped working and i have run out of options, i have tried almost everything, when it comes up it says: DEVICE NOT READY/ MEDIUM NOT PRESENT>>> INSTEAD OF READY. if anyone has an answer for me it would be greatly appreciatted.

Well for starters you could start by using updated software. Dvd decrypter hasn't been updated in a long time.

Use DVDfabhddecrypter for getting the movie to your hard drive.

Dvdshrink is old but is still functional for shrinking movies. Also look at dvdrebuilder.

When ready to burn use Imgburn (created by the author of dvddecrypter but much more updated -- however without decrypting capabilities hence the above suggestion for ripper).

But honestly I doubt if your problem is with dvddecrypter. My guess is that your burner is going south... or could be some other hardware problem.

Try imgburn to see if that solves your problem but if it doesn't I think you have bigger problems.

Thanks freebird, i appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions, i looked for the appropriate thread and didnt find it. I am taking your advice and downloading the programs you mentioned.

Sorry, i wrote a response to noah, but i am not going to stoop to his level. Thanks again freebird. And noah, if you checked before saying something, you would of noticed that that thread is locked out.thank you anyway, you were such a great help.

Its not for posting, it's for READING & LEARNING that YOU are using WAY outdated software

They have been putting out copy protections on DVD's that defeat DVD Decrypter & shrink for oh say... 2 years now

What freebird said or a few other things but we should not have to drag every bit of info out of you, you should be posting as much info as possible.

And if what i wrote was so offensive, you need to get a grip
