  1. Alright,
Went to Wal-mart, bought the player, brought it home and hooked it up. Setup menu comes up, I put in 'The Rock' DVD that i bought at Wal-Mart along with the player. It says 'No Disc'. So after this I test the drive out to make sure that i didnt pick up a faulty player so I put in a shitty CD-R with Mp3s on it to see if it would read that. IT PLAYED PERFECTLY. it was even a no name brand CD-R. It also plays VCDs perfectly, but my DVD PLAYER WONT PLAY DVDs. Man this is tickin' me off. Should I take it back or do I have something configured wrong? By the way - the DVD is fine, it plays on my computer DVD drive. Please help me!!

  3. I had the same problem with a Pioneer 343 I just picked up.
I want to check out the Pioneer to see how it plays my XVCD's but the first one was DOA and it's going to require a trip back to Best Buy. I'd exchange the 500w for a different one.

    HAHAHAHAHA. That's an oxymoron.

Sry to laugh at your problem. But in all seriousness, it's probally a defective disk.
