  1. with Nero 5.5? in the "how to's" section, it saids "You can fit 740 MB on a 74 min CD and 800 MB on a 80 min CD on a VCD!"

    Im trying to burn a 709mb CD using a 80min CDR in "Create VCD" mode.it saids i need a bigger cdr . what am i doing wrong

    That is wrong. 800Mb is the most, maybe more depending on CDR used.
    The Mb -> Kb conversion is irrelavent - 800Mb means 800Mb. A 80Min CDR will hold 811000Kb.

    Does it stop you from burning or does it only warn you that the CDR is too small. In Nero 5.0 there is a setting for the CDR size that you use in File>Preferences>General. If that is smaller than the CDRs that you use than it will show up as red in the 'space used' bar at the bottom.

    First, nice choice on the name....

    I don't have nero here in front of me so I'll only be able to generalize for you. In Nero, check for a setting, options/preference on the menu. One of them will let you set a couple of levels; one for warning, one for AAAAHHHH TOOOO MUCH! I use mostly 74min/650mg cd-r's and have it set to 745. This forces a prompt for overburning but my burner supports it anyway. The numbers aren't exact but that should get you in the right direction.
