  1. I hope this is a fairly simple question....I am trying to use DVD decrytor, but everytime I start the process, it will just freeze up and crash a few seconds into the program. Any suggestions

  3. yea, that was the first thing I tried, it's still doing the same thing. Is there something in addition to the program that I need installed?

    Which version of windows you using? I had the same problem with Win2000 and the aspi that came with win2000 was the problem. When I changed to the non-Ms one the problem went away.

  5. I have windows 98....how do you change to Ms-one or remove the "aspi"

    Once you dl the aspi in the setting of DVD decrytor you simply tell to use the one you dl. :P

  7. I'm sorry, I'm a newbie, what exactly does that mean...how would I tell it to use the one I'm using....and I'm assuming dl means download...and what is an aspi

    ASPI
    ASPI stands for Advanced SCSI Programming Interface. Originally developed by Adaptec. It is a software layer that enables programs to communicate with SCSI and ATAPI devices(CD and DVD Drives and other storage peripherals). See Bart's page about ASPI. It's in the preference setting of DVD decrytor I can't rember where it is. If you look thru the setting I'am shur that you will find the setting.

  9. I've heard of probs like this with older win ver's
    XP recommended
    (can't tell you from personal experience, I use XP and haven't had to add anything or had any probs)
