Hello,
I would like to copy the AC3 files on a DVD to my hard disk.
Can this be done with Smart Ripper? If so, could someone point me to a guide or set of instructions?
Thanks for your help,
Tom.

I don't know all of the options in smartripper, but if you can create a set of vob files, you can pull the ac3 out with vobedit. It's called demuxing.

You can do this from smartripper thou and save a step:
1) Open DVD of interest w/ smartripper
2) Select the title set with the audio of interest
3) CLick on the 'stream processing' tab
4) Click 'enable stream processing' box
5) Select the stream/s of interest and hit de-mux (note you have to select each stream and hit de-mux one at a time, it's not a univerisal command)
6) Run
This will rip the dvd to the HD and de-mux to create an ac3 file of the audio (you can also demux the m2v-video or subtitles, etc if you wish).
