Need a TEMPGEnc guru to answer a couple of questions.

First, does selecting the [Super Video-CD] -> [NTSC Film] on the initial Project Wizard (1/5) screen accomplish the same thing as the LOAD Template button -> SuperVideoCD (NTSCFilm).mcf on the main menu???

Secondly, using the Project Wizard, we get screen (4/5) Bitrate setting which allows selection of CD-R size and adjusting your Average video bitrate to fit on one CD-R (which I find very useful). Unfortunately, if I don't use the Project Wizard, I have not found a way to get to this screen in TEMPGEnc. Is there another way that someone can tell me about???

I am trying to convert a television episode (43 minutes) from PAL to NTSC and I have finally been able to get the video looking really great...unfortunately, it is about 10-20 seconds out of sync with the audio. Based on other suggestions on this forum pertaining to the PAL to NTSC conversion process, I think I need to set the 3:2 PULLDOWN WHEN PLAYBACK under the VIDEO TAB instead of setting the 3:2 PULLDOWN box under the ADVANCED TAB. I will give this a shot today and if it works as I hope, then I will post my steps to accomplish this somewhere on this forum. This has taken me two weeks of "trial and error" but I think I am getting closer.

    To question #1: Yes.

To question #2: If you're not using the wizard then you have to calculate (and input) the bitrate manually. Click the setting button in the main window, under the video tab and next to rate control mode click the setting button, enter your values. There's a bitrate calculator in the Tools section to help figure your numbers.

Sorry, I'm not up on pal to ntsc.
