  1. If you're having video/audio sync problems AND encode with TMPEGenc then this may interest you...(it may work even if you use another encoder - don't know )

    Video MUST be 29.97 fps

Note: If you encode movies in the future: output as ES (Video+Audio)
This gives you m1v and mp2 streams

    1. Demux the MPG using the tools of TMPEGenc to obtain the m1v and
    mp2 streams

    2. Rename the video stream with the extension of .mpv

    3. Rename the audio stream with the extension of .mpa

    4. Import the video with .mpv extension into Movie Factory 2 (MF2)

    5. Select REPLACE AUDIO and select the .mpa audio file

    6. Finish your project as you would normally do.

    7. Output to folder and test with player of your choice.

I have made several MPGS encoded with TMPEGenc and played fine with the computer but were out of sync when mad into a DVD
This HAS FIXED the problem for me, so I hope it will help someone else!

    Good Luck

  2. forgot:

if your mpg is MPEG-2 then change the m2v from TMPEGenc to .mpv

  4. I followed the same solution.

But I was adding a step further. I created VOBs using IfoEdit95. Those VOBs played fine on Power DVD.

But when I import it to Ulead MF2, ulead forced me to re-render and the size increazed by a drastic 1 GB. Is that the case with you? Is the the size of your MPEGs more or less or equal to the final output size for the DVD? Is there a way to fix- the re-rendering of the VOBs?

  5. All i can tell you is that the MPEG files i am working with are PAL 352x288 (25fps) and i converted the audio from 44khz to 48khz in TMPGEnc before loading them into Ulead DVDWS. These files did not require any re-rendering.

According to DVDWS the DVD folders (AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS) require around 1.5GB of space for me, which is about the size of all my MPEG files for this project. It then took me about 30mins to convert to VOBS (probably due to the amount of motion menus i have used!) :P

I've just burnt my first DVDR using NERO (at 4x) and it works perferctly in my 2 standalone DVD players. Very satisfying!

    Hope this helps.
