How come we don't have a BST forum (Buy Sell Trade)?
and also
Since this site draws a crowd that seems to watch a lot of movies, shouldnt it be fitting that we have a forum dedicated to movie reviews?
Just some suggestions is all![]()

I've given this some thought in the past, there are both PROs and CONs to doing a forum for people to buy stuff.
The Pros however are obvious.
1. No copied movie, this is clearly illegal, not to mention the ramifaction of selling a movie to someone that you just copied before selling.
2. If someone rips someone off there is no offical way via the board to get at them, it could very well turn into a giant flame war that follows specific users around just because there is really no other alternative for revenge, this would be very VERY bad.
3. Companies poseing as individuals trying to make a profit and get free ads via the board.
Personally I dont think its worth it, but then I'm not the only voice here and in the end its up to Baldrick. -

Anyways, how about that movie board? -
A movie board would be sweet. Everyone tells whether they liked/hated a movie any why.

Nice one tgpo, thanks pal!

My suggestion would be a PC / Windows / Linux / etc. section, or (what might be easier and more appropriate) finding such a site which specialises in that stuff and 'partnering' VCDHelp with it. I'm sure there would be enough posts to justify it.

I do like the movie board idea, maybe I can ruin others enjoyment of stupid movies.
Seriously I'm a very jaded movie goer... I weep for my days of loving every movie I saw. -

Regardless of the fact that I still haven't seen it (okay, the bad press wore me down) I didn't want to spend two hours at the cinema wondering who was gonna frickin die.
Like I say, shit idea, but I appreciate we don't have to read it if we don't want to.

No, I wasn't thinking about that actually pal, I was speaking hypothetically.
It wasn't you that spoiled it if I remember correctly, it was some otherdumbass!
Like I say, good example though!

DVDRHelp.com should have one and name it as "The Movies". -

I'd be quite keen to hear what people thought (before I see a movie) but jeesh, I don't want to know the end!

I second Will's idea. I hate going intoa movie knowing the ending. It ruins the movie for me.

We will need to add to the rules:
"If your message contains spoilers and you failed to mention them you will recieve a warning"

Movie reviews and/or recommendations about DVDs to be rented or purchased would be good as well -- there seem to be plenty about movies out in the theaters but some very good releases (like "The Day the Earth Caught Fire") which are old enough not to have current reviews available often get missed.
I even like Housepig's little tag (where he recommends five movies to rent -- and he changes these around from time to time). There are all kinds of gems out there that miss major releases, and as long as we keep this in good spirit (because movie tastes are *very* individual) it could be a lot of fun.
I also vote for a "guilty pleasures" thread -- those movies that really aren't good but we enjoy watching nonetheless (my first nomination -- "Godzilla", the remake with Matthew Broderick. The DVD is absolutely first class, and a great test of any system with a major subwoofer)."Like a knife, he cuts through life, like every day's his last" -- Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
