    I am looking for a DVD recorder which can play both NTSC and PAL DVD.

    Any suggestions?

    Which country are you in? What format do you want to record in? Is it only playback that you need dual format?

    I am in Canada. I need NTSC and PAL only in playback......

    Probably this is a wrong forum, I also want to buy a DVD player which support both formats as well.

    There are several DVD players that support region free, the Oppo players ( www.oppodigital.com ) and Philips are the most popular. I highly recommend Oppo.

    Get an LG player at any Future Shop in Canada. Picked one up for a friend for &49+taxes.

    Can you please let me know the exact models of LG or Philip DVD players which plays both PAL and NTSC?

    It's hard to research because most of the models mentioned in this forum are not sold in Canada. For instance, I never saw Oppo player before.
