loaded xvid into tmpge . used goldwave to change audio, got xvid codec watch movie on window media player but when i load it into tmpge it freezes on start. need some one with brains. it happens on all xvid movies.

What happens when you set your DirectShow priority to te highest one, and what happens when you use Virtual Dub to frameserve it to TMPGEnc?

Try this guide. To check for bad frames.

I/m not so sure it is bad frames if it happens with "all" your XVID's.

To change Direct Show prority:
Options>Environmental Settings>VFAPI Plugin>Direct Show should be checked and have highest number under priority column.

i learnt this is a known problem with xvid codec...i had to uninstall and reinstall tmpgenc, now change all xvid movies to a different codec with virtualdub before heading to tmpgenc
